How can a community increase its food sustainability?
Family farming in “Fundo de Pasto Communities” offer sustainable production and consumption systems. The challenges to manage are secure land access, water, market access and opportunities for women to participate in food systems decisions. A cooperative approach to research on solutions and their implementation gave way to the creation to new associations and alliances. Watch in YouTube.
This video-clip was produced as part of the r4d programme Digital Storytellers synthesis project. Its contents were filmed and selected by Aymara Llanque, Centre for Development and Environment, Bolivia, Adriana Bessa, Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) and Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, Switzerland, and Tiago Da Rocha, Melancia Community, Brazil, in collaboration with local partners in Brazil. The digital storytelling process was accompanied and supported by Paitití Lab.
