About k4d.ch

Knowledge for Development (www.k4d.ch) is the dynamic internet platform for evidence-based products emerging from the Swiss Programme for Research on Global Issues for Development (r4d programme, www.r4d.ch). Knowledge for Development is curated by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to publish and disseminate research findings in the form of videos, policy briefs, photo galleries, scientific articles, and other content.

The Swiss Programme for Research on Global Issues for Development (r4d programme) is a joint funding initiative by SDC and the SNSF. The r4d programme supports research aimed at solving global problems with a focus on least developed, low- and middle income countries. A total budget of CHF 97.6 million is available for the duration of the programme from 2012 to 2022 with a contribution by SDC of CHF 72 million and by SNSF of CHF 25.6 million.

All published products are authorised for publication and dissemination by the r4d programme and are available under the Creative Commons License 4.0. The products can be freely shared but not re-edited. Reference of the source is necessary.
